Emerald Bay is my favorite part of Lake Tahoe. This is the 2nd time that we've visited. If you ever tour around the whole lake, it is important to have a 4 wheel drive or tire chains in the winter and a strong well-handling car any time else. Some of the drive is steep and surrounded by long drops off the side of the road.
